Special Guest: Emily Gail
- Best known as the author of the famous slogan "Say Nice Things About Detroit," Emily led a movement in the 1970-80's to promote local pride in the city. Called the "first lady of Detroit" and a "freelance convention bureau," Emily ran a downtown store, hosted the first-ever run through city streets, and flew banners over state capitals to welcome out-of-town visitors. Her grassroots approach attracted national media and helped change the narrative of a city in decline. "It's not real sophisticated, but it puts a smile on peoples' faces and makes them think twice about the city."
