- Ime Ekpenyong, entrepreneur — Ime is a second generation American, born in Harlem, New York City. At the age of 3, he relocated to Nigeria with his parents, and moved back to the US in 1993 to further his education. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of ScriptGuideRX, a Michigan-based Pharmacy Benefit Management Corporation. His entrepreneurial experience also includes a marketing consulting firm, a janitorial firm, a wristwear brand and Kola Lounge, a restaurant highlighting African/Caribbean cuisine & music. He has a BSc, an MBA and a PhD, and serves as an Adjunct Faculty professor at University of Riverside, California. Ime also serves as the president of the Michigan Chapter of Akwa Ibom State Association of Nigeria and belongs to several non-profit groups focused on helping improve the lives of people of African & Caribbean descent.
- Ajara Alghali, Live6 — A Detroit native but global citizen, Ajara has spent much of her adult life traveling the globe, witnessing life across many cultures. She has visited 21 countries and has a natural curiosity and interest in diplomacy that she applies to her work in Detroit. A graduate of Wayne State University, she serves as a Program Manager for Live 6 in Northwest Detroit and is an alumni of the New American Leaders Project and the Great Lakes Leadership Academy. She also studies and teaches West African dance and has directed two documentaries.
